, users can target equities from selected countries using their corresponding Country IDs (CIDs).
Considerations When Utilizing European Data
A significant proportion of European companies follow a semiannual reporting schedule. As a result, when analyzing financial metrics and data:
1. Reporting Frequency: Most European companies release financial statements twice a year, which affects the timing and availability of fundamental data compared to the quarterly cadence common in North America.
2. Recommended Data Factors: To ensure accuracy and consistency, it's best to use Trailing Twelve Months (TTM) or annual factors. These are better aligned with semiannual reporting and provide a more complete picture of company performance.
3. Understanding Quarterly Factors: When viewing quarterly factors for semiannual reporting companies, note that they reflect the latest semiannual data. For instance, a factor might present data for different offset in a sequence like "300 0 350 0", indicating semiannual data interspersed with 'zero' for the quarters in between.
